Jon Foster (born 18 September 1981) is a BAFTA winning English comedy writer. He grew up in Cheltenham, attending Dean Close School and then studied English and History at Trinity College Dublin graduating in 2005.
Alongside writing partner James Lamont, he has written The Amazing World of Gumball for Cartoon Network for which he won a BAFTA Children's Award in 2011, The Armstrong and Miller Show for BBC One (BAFTA winner 2010) and School of Comedy for E4. They've made numerous sketches for BBC Comedy Online including a parody of Paranormal Activity 2 called Normal Activity [1] Ceefax spoof CFKD[2] YouTube mash-up Re:Fail [3] and technology sketch show Tech Dump[4]
He co-created Bryony Makes a Zombie Movie for BBC Three which was BAFTA and Rose d'Or nominated in 2009. He also worked as a producer on 10 O'Clock Live for Zeppotron and Channel 4.
